  • ABOUT
    Tanieka Scott-Black was born and raised in New York City. She came to Maryland to visit a family member and decided to stay and reside in the state. In 2010 she decided she didn’t want to remain overweight, which is when she began her fitness, health and wellness journey. She had such a passion for health and fitness, she decided to get educated, licensed and certified in several areas of health, wellness and fitness. Tanieka started her fitness career as a licensed Zumba instructor, which also set her on the path to become a bootcamp instructor and a personal trainer. Tanieka also saw a need for fitness in the chair bound and diminished breathing community. Tanieka is currently certified as · Advanced Nutrition Coach · Diet Coach · Weight loss Coach · Fitness Coach · Holistic Health Coach · Health and Wellness Coach · Life Coach Tanieka has a background in nursing and mental health, she is also a Certified Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomist and a CPR, First Aid and AED instructor. In her spare time Tanieka enjoys traveling anywhere with a warm climate and a beautiful beach.

  • BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
    Depending upon the reason for your doctor’s visit, this checklist can help you prepare. Gather documents to bring to your doctor’s visit: Copies of any tests, x-rays, or medical histories relating to your medical problem. A list of all current medications taken on a regular basis, including over-the-counter and herbal medications. Review any special directions from your doctor about diet or medication restrictions prior to your appointment.
  • What are the benefits of an executive physical over the annual wellbeing exam provided by my doctor?
    Comprehensive Testing: Primary care providers do not offer the range of testing and services Summit Medical provide. Our exams include – advanced laboratories, advanced imaging, mammography, bone density, stress and anxiety assessments, nutrition consultation, neurological assessment, same day results, and much more. Physician Time: At Summit, patients can spend as much time as they need with our world class clinical team. We only schedule our physicians for 4 exams per day to ensure that every patient gets the time and attention they need from their physician team. Each patient meets with their MD early in the day to review history and for a complete physical and then again at the end of their day to review all results and recommendations. Coordination of Care: At Summit, we hand hold our patients and assist them with anything they need in following up on abnormalities and go as far as coordinating and scheduling appointments with top specialists when necessary. We have an alliance with Millennium Health Group specialists and have access to their concierge scheduling division which gets us preferred and expedited access to their entire network of physicians. Additionally, we have many longstanding relationships with the Johns Hopkins Community to provide preferred access to the top specialists in Maryland when necessary. Convenience and Efficiency: What we accomplish at Summit in a single day would normally take 4+ appointments to complete if coordinated through the traditional health system AND we complete all our testing during a single appointment which allows. Same Day Results: Unlike a typical PCP and different than other executive exam centers, we believe that reviewing all results (including lab and radiology) right at the end of the exam with the physician provides the greatest impact and the best venue for questions and discussion. This is part of the extensive time we allow during our exams mentioned above.
  • Do I need to coordinate with or notify my health plan?
    Summit Medical Executive program is an out of network benefit that is not covered by traditional health plans. Payment can be made via FSA or HSA plans. We also accept cash or credit card.
  • What tests/services are included in my executive physical?
    The following components are included for all patients.   • Are meals provided?
    Yes, breakfast and/or lunch will be provided. Your meal preferences will be requested when your appointment is scheduled
  • Will my doctor receive the results?
    Yes, you will be asked to provide your doctor’s name and contact information when you arrive for your physical. Summit Medical will provide your doctor with a copy of your exam results.
  • Does Summit Medical help with any follow up needs after my physical?
    Yes. Through our strategic alliance with specialists, our concierge team will coordinate all follow up care and specialist referrals preferred appointments or with your local specialist as needed.

    Tanieka Scott-Black was born and raised in New York City. She came to Maryland to visit a family member and decided to stay and reside in the state. In 2010 she decided she didn’t want to remain overweight, which is when she began her fitness, health and wellness journey. She had such a passion for health and fitness, she decided to get educated, licensed and certified in several areas of health, wellness and fitness. Tanieka started her fitness career as a licensed Zumba instructor, which also set her on the path to become a bootcamp instructor and a personal trainer. Tanieka also saw a need for fitness in the chair bound and diminished breathing community. Tanieka is currently certified as · Advanced Nutrition Coach · Diet Coach · Weight loss Coach · Fitness Coach · Holistic Health Coach · Health and Wellness Coach · Life Coach Tanieka has a background in nursing and mental health, she is also a Certified Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomist and a CPR, First Aid and AED instructor. In her spare time Tanieka enjoys traveling anywhere with a warm climate and a beautiful beach.

  • BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
    Depending upon the reason for your doctor’s visit, this checklist can help you prepare. Gather documents to bring to your doctor’s visit: Copies of any tests, x-rays, or medical histories relating to your medical problem. A list of all current medications taken on a regular basis, including over-the-counter and herbal medications. Review any special directions from your doctor about diet or medication restrictions prior to your appointment.
  • What are the benefits of an executive physical over the annual wellbeing exam provided by my doctor?
    Comprehensive Testing: Primary care providers do not offer the range of testing and services Summit Medical provide. Our exams include – advanced laboratories, advanced imaging, mammography, bone density, stress and anxiety assessments, nutrition consultation, neurological assessment, same day results, and much more. Physician Time: At Summit, patients can spend as much time as they need with our world class clinical team. We only schedule our physicians for 4 exams per day to ensure that every patient gets the time and attention they need from their physician team. Each patient meets with their MD early in the day to review history and for a complete physical and then again at the end of their day to review all results and recommendations. Coordination of Care: At Summit, we hand hold our patients and assist them with anything they need in following up on abnormalities and go as far as coordinating and scheduling appointments with top specialists when necessary. We have an alliance with Millennium Health Group specialists and have access to their concierge scheduling division which gets us preferred and expedited access to their entire network of physicians. Additionally, we have many longstanding relationships with the Johns Hopkins Community to provide preferred access to the top specialists in Maryland when necessary. Convenience and Efficiency: What we accomplish at Summit in a single day would normally take 4+ appointments to complete if coordinated through the traditional health system AND we complete all our testing during a single appointment which allows. Same Day Results: Unlike a typical PCP and different than other executive exam centers, we believe that reviewing all results (including lab and radiology) right at the end of the exam with the physician provides the greatest impact and the best venue for questions and discussion. This is part of the extensive time we allow during our exams mentioned above.
  • Do I need to coordinate with or notify my health plan?
    Summit Medical Executive program is an out of network benefit that is not covered by traditional health plans. Payment can be made via FSA or HSA plans. We also accept cash or credit card.

    Yes, breakfast and/or lunch will be provided. Your meal preferences will be requested when your appointment is scheduled
  • Will my doctor receive the results?
    Yes, you will be asked to provide your doctor’s name and contact information when you arrive for your physical. Summit Medical will provide your doctor with a copy of your exam results.
  • Does Summit Medical help with any follow up needs after my physical?
    Yes. Through our strategic alliance with specialists, our concierge team will coordinate all follow up care and specialist referrals preferred appointments or with your local specialist as needed.
